Version 3.0d with ADS Support Available Now!

A source code version of X-DBU is available. This version contains the X-DBU program and the source code. The price is $399 US, and will include free updates through version 3.x. The current version is 3.0.

The source code will enable you to link all or part of the X-DBU features into your applications, royalty free. It is configured to call the X-DBU window as a submain window from within another application. All of the Child and Modal windows are configured to work under this submain window, so the the code is ready to go, with few, if any, changes required in your existing application. Please note that X-DBU was written with Top-Down Library 4.3, so Top-Down 4.3 is required to compile
it.
For using ADS files the Alaska Software ADSDBE module is required. ADSDBE is part of the Xbase++ Professional version, and may be purchased separately by users of the Foundation version.

Along with the usual Single User License Agreement for the X-DBU program, the Source Code Version includes a Source Code License Agreement which contains several provisions which describe how the source code may be used. These provisions are reproduced here so you may have a clear understanding of the license terms before placing an order. Please read it carefully before proceeding to the order page.

If you order the Source Code Version you are indicating that you understand and agree to the terms of this license:

1) The X-DBU source code contains references to Top-Down Library functions, and requires a copy of Top-Down Library 4.3 or greater in order to compile. Top-Down Library is a separate product and must be licensed separately. It is not included with the X-DBU Source Code License.

2) For ADS support, the X-DBU source code contains references to Alaska Software ADSDBE files, and requires a copy of ADSDBE in order to compile. ADSDBE is a separate product and must be licensed separately from Alaska Software. It is not included with the X-DBU Source Code License.

3) The X-DBU source code may not be used to create a database utility program to be sold or marketed or otherwise distributed in any way that would compete with or affect sales of the X-DBU program marketed by Clayton Jones. The intent of this license is that the LICENSEE is to integrate the X-DBU features into a larger program which is not marketed as a database utility, database management system, or tool kit, or any program in which the database utility is the primary feature. The X-DBU source code may be linked into a DLL file as part of the larger application, but may not be marketed or distributed in any manner separately from the application.

4) The X-DBU source code may not be distributed in any manner or for any reason to other parties. If the LICENSEE writes a program for a customer with an agreement to provide source code for the program, the X-DBU source code may not be given to the customer. If the customer wishes to have the source code the customer must purchase an X-DBU source code license.

5) If the LICENSEE employs other programmers, the X-DBU Source Code License does not extend to the programmers as individuals outside the LICENSEE's workplace. The programmers may not use the X-DBU source code in any applications not belonging to the LICENSEE, but must purchase their own individual X-DBU source code licenses.

6) The X-DBU Help file documentation may be distributed with the LICENSEE's application. The documentation text may be integrated into the LICENSEE's application in another manner provided the Clayton Jones copyright notice is included and displayed in some manner.

7) The copyright notices may not be removed from the X-DBU source code files, whether used wholly or in part.
