Features
  • Open/Create DBF files in DBFNTX, DBFCDX, DBFCMX, FOXCDX or FOXCMX and ADS CDX/NTX.   Supports Comix mode CDX and Fox 2.x and 3.x file formats.  Easily convert data to and from any version.  Specify FPT memo block size.  Optional CDX Extended Locking.  Append From and Copy To SDF and Delimited, as well as DBF.  Supports multiple NTX files.

  • ADS files may be opened, created or modified with either Compatibility or Proprietary Locking modes, with either CDX or NTX indexes, using either Local or Remote Server.  Files may be Encrypted and Decrypted.  Does not support ADT or Data Dictionary.

  • Allows open/create DBF and Index files with non-standard extensions.

  • Multiple files may be open, each in a separate thread with its own dedicated file manager window.  Each File Window has its own menu of options, and displays the file's statistics, including Dbe used, Exclusive/Shared mode, number of records and fields, and size in bytes.  Also displayed are the current settings for index, order, filters, scopes, and scrolling views of the structure and selected Browse fields.  Settings for CENTURY, DELETE and EXACT can be set independently in each File Window.

  • Save complete "Views" of File Windows.  All of the information is written to an array in a file.  It includes the DBF name, path, open mode, Dbe, index files, order, filter, scope, saved reports, selected browse fields, and settings for CENTURY, DELETED and EXACT. When a saved View is reopened, the File Window is restored to the exact state in which it was saved.

  • Modify Structure - uses a unique algorithm which analyzes each field and allows very flexible choices for changing data types and renaming fields without losing data.  It is not a simple "Copy To" approach.

  • Support for Euro symbol and European currency settings.

  • Included Utilities:
       APPEND FROM
       COPY TO
       DELETE FOR
       RECALL FOR
       REPLACE FOR
       COUNT FOR
       SUM FOR
       SET FILTER
       SET SCOPE
       LOCATE
       SEEK (on indexed tables)
       PACK
       ZAP
       COPY STRUCTURE

       LIST Writer - A
report writer module.  With this you can:
         - Select fields and arrange the order
         - Use filters and scope together
         - Set FOR, WHILE and NEXT conditions
         - Choose Index order
         - Format individual columns
         - Enter a report Title
         - Choose font size - Normal, Elite or Condensed
         - Choose Portrait or Landscape orientation
         - Set Left and Top Margins
         - Choose Print Preview, with options to print selected pages (uses the
           Top-Down Print Preview component)
         - Save any number of report definitions; Reopen later to same settings.

WRITE - Writes these items to a text file:
         - DBF structure - suitable for documentation
         - DBF creation source code - suitable to be pasted into your file creation
           routines
         - Aliased list of field names
         - Index Tag information (if an index file is open when the routine is called).
This list includes the Order number, Tag name, Key expression, and For,
Descend and Unique expressions if they exist.
         - Index creation source code
This saves a lot of work by writing DBF and index creating source code that is
          ready to compile!

  • Create/Modify Index files using a unique "Index Manager" window which displays the file structure and allows adding or deleting multiple Tags, including selection of Descending and Unique attributes.  It features dynamic key expression testing when a Tag is defined - will not allow an invalid expression.  Supports multiple NTX files.

  • Browse window with Add, Edit, Delete (including memo editing), plus access to the  utilities.  Able to lock multiple columns; locked columns have shaded headers.  Records marked for deletion are shown in red.  Status bar displays current record number, total records, deleted status, current index key, and Filter/Scope status.  Allows choice of which fields to display.  Remembers selection next time the browse is opened.

  • Select and save list of Fields to browse.  Up/Down buttons to easily change the order.

  • Progress Bars for Modify Structure, Pack, Index, Append, and Copy To operations.  Progress bar can be disabled to increase speed when indexing large files.
