Application Scaling

As monitors grow in resolution the size of actual pixels gets smaller.  So a 20-pixel high Get object can be 8mm in height on an 800x600 monitor and only 5mm high on a bigger but higher resolution monitor.  The result is that data entry screens can get visually smaller and harder to read as monitor resolution increases.

When one of my clients replaced their old 14" CRT with a new 17" LCD their bookkeeper with poor eyesight could barely read the data entry screen (a window that had been quite large on the old monitor).

It would be nice to be able to increase this on-screen size on the fly without changing any source code.

The solution is the Top-Down Application Scaling system introduced in version 7.0.
