Riverbend Park
Palm Beach County, Florida

The crown jewel of Palm Beach County's park system, Riverbend is a 680 acre property that was acquired from private owners and lovingly restored to a natural state by removing invasive plant species and restoring the original headwaters channel of the Loxahatchee River's Northwest Fork.

Now a wildlife refuge teeming with many species of birds and animals, it's 15 miles of trails wind through a sub-tropical wonderland containing numerous environments, including the river, dense Sabal Palm jungles, winding creeks, lakes, cypress domes, old-growth hardwood hammocks and grassy meadows.

Needless to say, it is a treasure beyond measure for any photographer who loves the South Florida environment.
