Canyon Country, 2007

In March of 2007 my brother and I took a 12-day photo expedition to the canyon country of Utah, Arizona and Colorado.  We visited several national parks as well as some lesser traveled areas.  The spring change of seasons brought a wide variety of weather conditions ranging from warm and clear to a cold front with dramatic skies, storm light, and snow at higher elevations.  The spectacular canyon country imparts a profound sense of spirituality and one feels humbled and insignificant in the face of such Divine handiwork.  This is what inspires me to be out there with a camera and I hope some sense of that is conveyed in these photographs.
